Sunset over Europe and Africa

I love how this photo captures the creeping twilight border over Western Europe and Northern Africa. I see it and think of my dad in Bulgaria, enjoying the first glass of the evening; my mum and teenage sister in Spain, the former emerging from a comatose siesta and preparing to make dinner, the other skipping home from the pool, getting ready to go out; my brother in London, busying himself with the day's tasks before he, too, goes out or commits to a decadent night in; meanwhile I, so far away to the West, am probably having a sandwich for lunch.
