Playwrights Horizons Donation

In April 2009, I donated one of my Wire Lace necklaces to the Playwrights Horizons annual auction, which raises funds for the Playwrights Horizons’ six annual productions, as well as helping to develop new works, train young arts professionals, and strengthen its audience and community outreach programs.

I used sterling silver wire to form a lacy silhouette of a woman's decolleté. Mother-of-pearl buttons and Swarovski crystals are woven into the silhouette, and glass  beads are suspended from silver wire tendrils. It's a sturdy, but delicate-looking, necklace that looks just as good with jeans as it does a simple shift dress.
